Many horses show no apparent discomfort or adverse effects from conven-tionally nailed shoes. However, there are those horses who no matter how
good the farrier, will consistently go lame after being shod. Equally there are those with horn which is incapable of holding nails, so a lost shoe usually results in the hoof breaking up, making subsequent nailing almost impossible and certainly no solution to the problem.

This led Mustad Hoofcare to research and develop a range of glue on shoes, each adapted to specific purposes, to be used in place of a conventional shoe.
