Environmental efforts

Since the end of 1996, a comprehensive environmental job is being carried out within the company.  The products that we make are altogether recyclable and all waste goes straight back to the iron works. All employees are deeply committed in the environmental efforts.

The company takes a great interest in working conditions in the factory. Many tasks of the production process are quite heavy, and hence, by tradition, carried out by men. Attempts to ease the labour with new technology are going on, however, and if these attempts come out well, it is possible that many of these tasks might be appropriate even for women, in the future. The company’s plan for equality between the sexes shows increasingly better figures from year to year, both with regard to working tasks and wages.

The company’s collected experience of horseshoenail production is considerable, since the average time of employment at the company is more than 20 years.
